TUITION FOR AGES 6-16+
MATHS
At Kip McGrath Brighouse we provide tuition for students in maths from year 1 to GCSE. We also offer maths tuition for 11+ and SATs. After the initial assessment a personalised programme is created for your child designed to fill in gaps in knowledge and cement basic maths concepts so that your child can confidently progress and master harder concepts as their school career progresses. Our centre has helped hundreds of children who were struggling with maths to acquire the skills they needed to succeed in school and life.
ENGLISH
Kip McGrath provides English tutoring for students in reading, comprehension, writing and spelling. The development of proficient English language skills is essential for student success at school, university and the workforce. With specialists ranging from KS1 provision to GCSE Language and Literature, our team of dedicated English teachers will work with your child to fill in any gaps in knowledge and skills.
SCIENCE
Our experienced and dedicated science teachers are here to provide that valuable extra help in achieving success in GCSE Biology, Chemistry or Physics - help which is so often needed but not always available in school. ​ It doesn’t matter which board you are studying with at school, or whether you are taking the double or the triple award, our qualified teachers can provide that vital support you need so that you gain the skills and confidence needed to achieve the best possible results in GCSE Science exams.
11+
At Kip McGrath Brighouse we are proud to have be able to offer 11+ tuition designed for the local grammars schools for many years. Â Frank and Debra's own three daughters attended grammar school in Halifax and so they have a special interest and insight into the process. Grammar school entry tests typically take place in the September at the start of year 6 and so early preparation is key with parents encouraged to enrol their children whilst still in year 4 if possible. Â The componants of the local grammar school tests include: Maths Non Verbal Reasoning Verbal Reasoning (Halifax Grammars only) English Our expert tutors will introduce your child to the less familar aspects and provide them with strategies to quickly and confidently navigate all aspects of the test whilst accelerating their maths and English knowledge and skills to the advanced level required of this popular and highly competitive admissions test.
